FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Joy founded Unhinged Studio with a commitment to creating an authentic and progressive culture where designers could create uninhibited. A client-centric collaborative approach is the heart of her business model, resulting in designs that are as unique and diverse as her wide array of projects and clients. Joy has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality, multifamily, and commercial industry. She earned her BA at Texas State University and is a licensed interior designer. Joy is a fourth generation Austinite, a mom, and an amateur artist.
CHRISTINA MYERS
CFO
Christina ensures structure, organizes chaos, and is the yin to our yang. She has over 15 years of experience leading the finance and operations for architectural and design companies in Austin. As performance leader and business manager, Christina is responsible for developing and constantly improving our project management processes and overseeing all administrative tasks, including Accounting and Human Resources. She earned her BA in Economics from Texas A&M University.
KELLY ROTZLER
SR. INTERIOR DESIGNER
Kelly is a divergent-thinking designer who has mastered the art of adapting abstract ideas into original solutions. She is the queen of quick sketches, creative problem-solving, and space planning. Kelly earned an Interior Design degree from Texas State University and resides in her hometown of New Braunfels with her husband and two sons. She holds a personal interest in New Braunfels’ urban planning and aims to be a driving force for positive growth in her booming community.
PATRICK ALLEN, WELL AP ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
Patrick fearlessly embraces innovation, has stellar technical skills, and dogged persistence. He is a licensed interior designer and WELL Accredited. Patrick is committed to minimizing our project’s ecological impacts by creating durable and timeless designs. When he isn’t killin’ it at the office, you are likely to find Patrick mountain biking in the Hill Country, paddle boarding with his partner and pups, or buried in a book at a café. He earned his BA in Interior Design at Southwest University of Visual Arts.
LIZETTE GONZALEZ INTERIOR DESIGNER
Lizette is a firecracker and a natural leader who is inquisitive and thorough. As a creative problem solver, she thrives in the face of a challenge. Her competitive and inquisitive spirit ignites fearless creativity amongst the Unhinged team. Lizette speaks fluent Spanish and Millennial. She earned her Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Texas State University.
